EKT and Nordija team for Air Link DVB/IP solution

Set-top box vendor EKT and software platform developer Nordija have announced a new contract with Air Link Communications to deploy a pre-integrated DVB/IP Hybrid solution in Trinidad and Tobago.

The new solution will be based on EKT’s LinuxTV platform with a user experience developed by Nordja and serve as a flexible and scalable solution to be deployed on both cable and IP networks.

Keenan Singh, CEO of Air Link Networks said: “Despite the enormous offer of Set tops, middleware and security platform, we found that really a handful of partnerships could deliver what we were looking for.

“Bringing a user experience that is being used by many European operators to our region gives us a real proven advantage. Combined with the flexible platforms of EKT, we are changing the way video is consumed in our region.

Jeroen van Vliet, CCO of Nordija added: ‘’We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with EKT by delivering yet another successful project together. Working with a partner like EKT has proven to be a great match and I look forward to advancing and continuing this partnership in the coming years.”

Richard Smith, founder and CEO at EKT concluded: “We are proud to be partnering with Nordija. Our complete range with their market leading platform will bring a host of new possibilities for both our companies,” said, he continued “we are now looking forward to bringing this pre-integrated solution to more clients in the LATAM region.”

This solution will be on display during IBC in Amsterdam, Sept 13-17.
