Sony Europe has said that that select Sony 4K HDR TVs with Android TV will now have the Google Assistant built in, starting first in the UK with more countries to follow later this year.
Google Assistant integration will allow viewers to gain quick access to films, music and other content, to control smart home devices, and to search for information like sports scores, via their Sony Android TV and voice-operated remote control.
Sony will start to roll out Google Assistant on its AF8, XF90, XF85, XF80 and XF75 series TVs in the UK this week and expects to have completed this by the end of the month. It then plans to launch Google Assistant in France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
