Dailymotion has appointed former Red Bull TV executive, David Rios, to head up Latin American and US Hispanic content partnerships.
Rios will lead the French video service’s ongoing efforts to expand its catalogue of Hispanic and Latin American content from premium brands and publishers.
Most recently he was head of program and platform promotion at Red Bull TV and before that he was Red Bull TV’s head of global communications.
In total Rios has more than 15 years of experience working with TV and over-the-top networks and has also worked at NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures Television Latin America and Warner Brothers Latin America.
“In addition to steadily growing in spending power and influence, US Hispanics and LatAm audiences are incredibly discerning when it comes to their mobile and digital behaviours,” said Shana Eddy-Grouf, Dailymotion’s US head of content.
“As Dailymotion continues to build best-in-class streaming video and OTT viewing experiences for all audiences, we’re excited to tap into David’s rich insights into this media market to further strengthen our offering.”
Rios said: “The arc of my career has focused on identifying ways to help publishers connect with the unique attributes of US Hispanics and LatAm audiences. I look forward to joining Dailymotion on their mission to build a new paradigm for online video that delivers premium content experiences to its active community within a curated and personalised platform.”
