A pair of video-on-demand industry veterans from the UK has launched a new media entertainment management consultancy.
Anita O’Donnell and Yives Reed are behind Media Minds, a London-based firm “designed to bridge the gap between technology and content, people and platforms”.
The pair first worked together nearly two decades ago. They launched a pioneering VOD business, Re:fine, back in 2006 before selling to LA-based Visual Data Media Services in 2014.
Re:fine offered VOD services to media companies and had clients such as FremantleMedia, All3Media International and Off the Fence.
The new operation will help media companies negotiate the move into a digital-first market, providing advice on top technologies and services, multiplatform distribution strategies and digital processing.
“We founded the consultancy with the philosophy that with the right blend of technology and people you can create better efficiencies, a competitive edge, scale and a more positive environment for your employees,” said Reed.
