TiVo: US leads average number of TV hours viewed

TV viewers in the US watched an average of 5.1 hours of content per day, more than in any other country polled, according to TiVo research.

TiVo_new_logo_whiteTiVo Insights’ 2017 Global Study found that Brazil came second at 4.7 hours of viewing per day, followed by the UK at 4.2 hours.

The averages in Colombia and Mexico were each 4.1 hours, while the lowest-ranking countries by viewing time were France at 3.7 hours and in Germany at 3.3 hours.

Overall TiVo said the average global viewer spends 4.4 hours each day watching video and 28 minutes search for content to watch.
