TV France International has launched a new online screening and information service, Screenopsis.
TVFI, the association representing French distributors, said that at launch Screenopsis will have 9,000 full-length programmes and 22,000 programmes listed in all.
It added that the marketing and sales tool will allow buyers to search by genre or particular interest and that the amount of content on the platform will increase as more distributors upload their catalogues.
TVFI, with assistance from audiovisual funding body the CNC, plans to invest €3.5 million in Screenopsis over the next five years.
Screenopsis will also power the screenings element of the Rendez-Vous, the TVFI-organised French screenings held in Biarritz eachSeptember.
The service was developed by Capgemini in association with digital and tech firms Nexeo, Nomen and Perfect Memory.
