Eutelsat lines up March launch for 65 West A satellite
Eutelsat is due to launch its Eutelsat 65 West A satellite on March 9 from Kourou, French Guiana.
The satellite arrived in Kourou over the weekend and is due to launch by an Ariane rocket next month.
65 West A is a tri-band satellite designed to target fast-growing markets across Latin America. The satellite will be located at 65° west, a premier position for the Brazilian TV market, and is due to reach geostationary orbit ahead of the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
Eutelsat said the satellite will provide a “unique solution for live TV transmissions from Brazil to Latin America and Europe and further afield via Eutelsat’s global fleet.”
