UK free-to-view digital-terrestrial platform Freeview has promoted Owen Jenkinson to the role of marketing director.
Jenkinson was previously head of marketing. In his new role he will assume responsibility for all of Freeview’s creative output. He joined Freeview in 2009 having previously worked at PlayStation and Channel 4
Jenkinson said: “I believe that Freeview produces some of the most exciting and innovative marketing and TV advertising in the UK, as the success of some of our recent well-loved TV adverts has shown. I’m really looking forward to leading the company’s marketing as we continue to grow and make Freeview Play the new normal way of watching TV.”
Guy North, Freeview Managing Director said: “Owen’s promotion is an extremely well-deserved reflection of his work and dedication to the company over the past few years. I’m very confident that, with Owen at the helm of our marketing and the expansion of Freeview Play, 2016 is set to be a big year.”
