New CEO for Finland’s DNA

Finnish telecom and cable operator DNA has named Jukka Leinonen as its new CEO.

Leinonen, currently the company’s vice-president, corporate business, has been serving as acting CEO since the end of August, replacing former CEO Riitta Tiuraniemi.

Leinonen, who has worked for DNA since 2010, will take up the post full-time immediately.

“The aim of the Board of Directors was to find a CEO who has a strong ability to map out new opportunities for DNA in the midst of the upheaval in the telecommunications industry. Jukka Leinonen stood out among several good candidates by meeting this need particularly well. Leinonen combines a clear vision of the development of DNA’s business with a long and varied experience in the telecommunications industry. He has also successfully managed his previous DNA duties,” said Jarmo Leino, chairman of the Board of DNA.
