French ISP Free’s Freebox Révolution subscribers in the Dordogne and Gironde regions now have access to VDSL2 services – a first for the operator.
Free said it would extend the availability of VDSL2 services to other departments in the near future.
The move will give customers access to speeds of up to 90Mbps downstream and 25Mbps upstream.
The upgrade to VDSL2 requires no new installation of reception equipment as the Freebox Révolution combined set-top and gateway is already VDSL2 compatible.
