UK broadcaster UKTV will air a number of Miramax movies after the companies signed a licensing deal.
UKTV operates channels including Watch, Dave, Gold and Eden. Miramax titles include There Will be Blood, Eagle vs Shark and No Country For Old Men.
“UKTV has a proven record of delivering high-quality feature films to its subscribers and we are delighted that the Miramax library, which offers one of the world’s leading collections of high-end feature films, will become part of UKTV’s market-leading mix,” said Danny Goldman, senior vice-president and head of sales, Europe. “This is the first major, multi-title linear deal for Miramax in the UK and Ireland, and we are very pleased to continue growing Miramax’s direct relationships in the market.”
