UKTV secures Freeview slot for Really

British multichannel provider UKTV has secured a slot of the Freeview digital-terrestrial platform for Really, its female-focused lifestyle channel, which has hitherto only been available via pay TV services Sky Digital and Virgin Media.

Really, which airs shows including US titles Tool Academy and Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew as well as BBC 3 shows including Snog, Marry, Avoid and Bizarre ER, will launch on Freeview channel 20 on August 2, on air from 08:00-02:00. The channel will replace Dave Ja Vu, the time-shifted version of entertainment channel Dave. The move means that UKTV will air three channels on Freeview: Dave, Really and factual channel Yesterday.
