Ofcom says Top Up can show soccer
UK communications regulator Ofcom has ruled that Top Up TV can market rival UK pay-TV operator BSkyBs flagship sports channels.
News Corp-backed Sky has recently been forced to wholesale its Sky Sports 1 and 2 channels to third parties at regulated rates and attempted to block the move by Top Up to offer these to its customers.
Top Up offers a pay-TV service that can be accessed via the Freeview digital terrestrial platform. Other Sky rivals, Virgin Media and BT, have also started carrying the Sky channels.
