Kudelski unit acquires new semiconductor lines

Swiss TV technology specialist Kudelski’s chipset subsidiary Abilis Systems has acquired Freescale Semiconductor’s CMOS modulators and silcon tuners products lines. The acquisition will allow Abilis to better address the needs of the digital-terrestrial and cable TV markets. Abilis will begin selling the new product lines under its own brand in October.
