TalkTalk adding BT Sport to TV offering

BT SportUK telco TalkTalk is to add BT Sport to its TV offering from next month, making English Premier League and UEFA Champions League games available to its viewers.

alkTalk TV homes will be able to subscribe to BT Sport channels on a rolling monthly contract directly from BT. Subscribers to BT Sport will also be able to watch fixtures on the go through the BT Sport app, and on all six red button channels from September.

In addition to next season’s Premier League and all UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League football matches, BT Sport will also give TalkTalk TV customers access to content such as Premiership Rugby, MotoGP motorsport, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and NBA and Major League Baseball.

The deal means that TalkTalk homes will now have access to sports channels including Sky Sports, Box Nation and Premier Sports, alongside entertainment services such as Netflix, Now TV, and Sky Movies.

Aleks Habdank, chief operating officer for TalkTalk TV, said: “TalkTalk TV is fast becoming one of the most compelling and competitive TV services. Our customers already have access to 98% of the nation’s top TV programmes as well as latest blockbusters and must-see box sets on TalkTalk TV Store.”
