Skyworth looks to international markets with Opera

Chinese TV manufacturer Skyworth has turned to Opera to provide software for a new line of smart TVs destined for international markets.

Leading Chinese manufacturer Skyworth is launching its new line of smart TV models, beginning with the Skyworth 39E36, using the Opera Devices SDK, Opera TV Store and Opera TV browser. The 39E36 will be available in Latin America from the second quarter, with other regions to roll out thereafter.

For the Latin American market, Skyworth is incorporating local channels and services including Abril Info and Abril Quatro Rodas, TeleSUR and CNN Expsansión within the HTML-5-based Opera TV Store.
