Microsoft seeking exec to develop original content


Technology company Microsoft is looking to hire a television executive to develop original content for its Xbox Live service.

The company has reportedly approached two former NBC executives, former president of west coast business operations at NBC Entertainment Marc Graboff and former NBC Universal TV Entertainment president Jeff Gaspin, about the role and has hired headhunter Stratis’ Tom Schneider to lead the search. This comes as the company looks to turn the Xbox gaming console into an entertainment portal; it has already struck number of video streaming for the service.
