Lagardère names Qatari adviser, mulls sports tie-up

French media group Lagardère Unlimited has named Qatar national Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani as an adviser. The move follows statements by Lagardère boss Arnaud Lagardère at the company’s annual meeting last week about developing potential partnerships with Qatar in the area of sports rights. Qatar owns a 12.8% in the French company.
