India’s Zee One debuts on Rakuten TV in Germany, Austria and Switzerland

Indian entertainment and Bollywood channel Zee One has joined FAST operator Rakuten TV across German speaking markets.

India’s media giant Zee Entertainment launched the FAST channel Zee One on Rakuten TV in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in December.

Zee holds more than 1.3bn viewers globally, produces over 500 hours of content each week and over 80 TV channels, according to the content provider.

The FAST service provides content ranging across action, comedy, drama and romance. Zee TV and film titles to debut on Rakuten TV include Jamai Raja, Kundali Bhagya, Jodha Akbar, Happy New Year, and Pardes.

Ashok Namboodiri, chief business officer of International Business at Zee, said “The launch of Zee One on Rakuten TV signifies our strategic targeting of the German audience that will not only elevate our channel but also contribute to Rakuten TV’s expanding viewer base. Zee One can be accessed on the Rakuten TV app, pre-installed in main smart TVs or downloadable to mobile devices.
