Seven.One Entertainment extends deal with Vodafone Deutschland

Vodafone Deutschland and ProSiebenSat.1-owned Seven.One Entertainment Group have struck a new distribution contract.

As a result, content from the Seven.One Entertainment Group will be available in the long term via the GigaTV offering via cable, broadband connection and mobile. The linear channels of the Seven.One Entertainment Group will be supplemented by digital product offers.

Vodafone customers will be able to watch Seven.One Entertainment  content up to 30 days after TV broadcast on-demand on GigaTV. They will also have access to instant restart, pause and recording options. The same applies to mobile reception via the GigaTV app.

In addition to the distribution of free TV channels in HD and SD, the new distribution contract also includes the distribution of all three pay TV channels of the Seven.One Entertainment Group, including for the first time SAT.1 emotions, giving the latter an increase in reach alongside ProSieben Fun is included in the pay TV package Vodafone Premium. Kabel Eins Classics will continue to be included in the Vodafone Premium Plus pay-tv package.

Vodafone customers will also benefit from extended VOD and content from three pay TV channels before their linear broadcast.

The new contract gives Vodafone customers access to the comprehensive content portfolio of our house, live or on-demand. This underlines our strategy of also offering and marketing our streaming content via partner platforms in the future.”

Marc Albers, head of broadband at Vodafone Germany, said: “The continuation of the successful cooperation ensures our TV households receive the wide range of information and Entertainment offers from the Seven.One Entertainment Group also for the coming years. At the same time, we are strengthening our media library [and] on the GigaTV platform, our customers will benefit from additional and longer available content of the live and on-demand offer.”
