JustWatch: Amazon Prime takes top slot in US streamer shares

Amazon Prime Video secured the biggest audience share among streamers in the US in Q2 of this year, with a 1% lead over global giant, Netflix, according to data from JustWatch, the viewer recommendation site that directs consumers to where they can legally watch streaming content and which also buys media space for brands.

According to JustWatch, Prime Video attracted a a 21% share in Q2, beating Netflix with 20%.

Third-placed Max, the recently launched combined platform of HBO Max and discovery+, gained one percentage point to land of a 15% share, beating Disney+ with 13%, which dropped one per cent.

HJulu also suffered a one per cent drop, landing on an 11% share in Q2.

Paramount+ meanwhile gained one percentage point to take a 7% share, beating Apple TV+ with 6%, although the latter also gained share.
