Under the terms of the extensive partnership, all WWE Premium Live Events as well as WWE Network’s library of original and archived programming will be available to stream on-demand. Additionally, SuperSport, the sports broadcasting subsidiary of MultiChoice, will continue to broadcast a range of WWE live content. SuperSport recently launched a localised WWE content series called JAMBO WWE, and the expanded partnership will see additional initiatives leveraging WWE IP.

“Showmax Pro is the market leader and a perfect home for WWE content,” said Matt Drew, WWE SVP, International. “We believe this partnership will expand our audience and deliver even more to WWE fans throughout the region.”

Barry Dubovsky, COO at MultiChoice Connected Video, said: “Adding WWE to the Showmax platform is an exciting development that we know our subscribers are going to enjoy, making WWE even more accessible and affordable.”

Showmax offers a mix of local content, first and exclusive international series, kids’ shows, and live sport. In addition to WWE, subscribers have access to original African series like Blood Psalms and international hits such as White Lotus and Euphoria.
