Southeast European media company United Media is launching three new cable channels from October 28: Nova Max, Nova Series and Grand Nostalgia.

The new channels will offer “the biggest blockbusters, unforgettable classics, the most watched domestic series, and the best music programmes”. They will be available across a range of Balkans-based platforms. These include EON, Total TV and D3 platforms on SBB in Serbia and Telemach in Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

United said Nova MAX “is intended for fans of movies and series of the world’s largest producers” including Fox, Sony, Universal, Paramount, MGM and Warner Bros. Alongside movies like Zombieland, Halloween and IT, Nova Max will carry high-end English-language scripted series like Victoria, Pan Am and Fargo.

Nova Series will also carry scripted but has a more eclectic profile. Examples of content include romantic telenovela Golden Palace and Turkish action-drama series The Pit. There will also be more emphasis on local Balkan scripted production.

United Media operates in eight countries, with a multimedia portfolio that includes six national TV stations, around 55 cable channels and five radio stations.
