Endemol France turns to Okast for Samsung TV Plus FAST launches

Endemol France has partnered with streaming solutions provider Okast to launch its first free ad-supported TV (FAST) channels on Samsung TV Plus.

Endemol France, producer of shows including Star Academy and Master Chef, will utilise the OKAST Channels solution. The platform offers a modular, cloud based playout, transcoding, and ad insertion solution which enabled Endemol France to easily create, launch, distribute and monetize these FAST channels in a few weeks.

The partnership is part of a broader strategy of the European consortium FAST4EU, created by Okast, to develop a European ecosystem to address the FAST market.

Jean-François Rubinstein, managing director of Endemol France, said: “Making the most of our catalogue, while bringing us closer to our audience, is a major challenge for us. We are convinced of the potential of FAST and connected TV and have therefore chosen Okast Channels, a French and European player, to accompany us in the deployment of our first channels.
