Ashkenaz upped to CEO at Verimatrix

Video content protection firm Verimatrix has announced the appointment of Asaf Ashkenazi as its new CEO.

Ashkenazi joined the company in 2018 and currently serves as chief operating officer. As CEO, the exec will lead the company’s business model transformation towards recurring subscription-based revenue sources and new products that was announced last year. 

Prior to COO, Ashkenazi led Verimatrix’s R&D, product, sales and marketing operations. He will continue to lean on his experience in cybersecurity and management.

Verimatrix also said that existing CEO and chairman Amedeo D’Angelo will remain with the company as its executive chairman.

D’Angelo said: “This evolution and reinforcement of the Verimatrix governance structure aligns well with the company’s needs as we further the progression of our business model. I Look forward to working closely with Asaf in his newly expanded role as CEO during this strategic development of Verimatrix.”
