The “Latest” section rolled out on Monday to smart TVs, streaming devices and games consoles, and is designed to make it easier for users to keep on top of all the new shows and movies being released by Netflix.
Functioning like the apps’ other sections, the Latest tab includes listings of movies and shows that will be released over the coming fortnight, with users able to set reminders for titles they’re interested in.
The section will be updated multiple times a day, and personalised for each user.
Speaking to Variety, Netflix director of product innovation Cameron Johnson confirmed that the feature had been thoroughly tested and that “people love that experience.”
Netflix is currently testing the feature for its iOS app.
