Netflix revamps TV interface

Netflix has unveiled a new design for its service on TV that is will start to roll out to subscribers globally this week.

The subscription video-on-demand giant said that the new interface is designed to make it easier to find titles on TVs using just a few buttons on a remote control.

Stephen Garcia, Netflix’s director or product innovation, said that the revamped interface was based on “rigorous research and testing” and is designed to make the Netflix experience “simpler and more intuitive”.

Users can now more easily search and view new content that has been added to Netflix, they can browse either movies or series and also have simpler access to titles they’ve saved for later viewing in ‘My List’.

“In our testing of this new interface, we saw that that this simpler design helped members find something great to watch,” said Garcia.

“This new design is one of many improvements we will be rolling out over the coming months to make Netflix even better for our members around the world.”
