File-based media ingest and transcoding specialist AmberFin will use IBC to announce the launch of a free, non-vendor specific, educational programme that is delivered to email in-boxes, targeted at professionals working in the broadcast and electronic media industries.
Called Bruce’s Shorts, the programme consists of series of weekly video shorts and monthly in-depth webinars covering a broad range of industry topics including: “how to avoid the common mistakes when migrating from tape-based to file-based workflows” to “the secrets of metadata” and “which is the best HD format for your facility”.
The programme has been developed and will be led by Bruce Devlin, AmberFin’s chief technology officer and co-author of the MXF specification. “Today’s broadcast and electronic media industries face unprecedented levels of uncertainty and technology confusion. As a company whose mission is to help organizations solve their file-based workflow problems, we feel it is our responsibility to help our customers navigate these challenges equipped not only with the right technology, but also armed with the most up to date knowledge,” said Devlin.
AmberFin is providing this expert tutorial series free of charge to all industry executives that register with the company. Details are available at amberfin.com/shorts.
AmberFin will be exhibiting at IBC on Stand 7.J15c
