NetRange partners with TELE System

German smart TV services firm NetRange has partnered with Italian set-top box maker TELE System to provide next generation Smart TV portals in TELE System’s IP and hybrid set-top boxes.

TELE System will launch the first product integrating NetRange’s Smart TV portals, called tsPlay, in stores in Italy this week. This will allow TELE System customers who do not own connected TVs to access regional and international apps

“The TELE System philosophy of designing user-friendly, affordable products is a great success story. We are delighted to be able to make a contribution to TELE System and the Italian market,” said Jan Wendt, CEO of NetRange.

The firm operates integrated, full-service Smart TV portals for major clients such as Sharp, IKEA, Loewe, Vestel and SES Astra.
