Unitymedia eyes rival acquisitions
German cable operator Unitymedia is eyeing the acquisition of a raft of rival operators.
Chief executive Gene Musselman said that it is interested in acquiring Level 4 operators that provide cable networks to large housing blocks. He expects to start targeting companies in the North-Rhine Westphalia and Hesse areas. He also said that the company, which currently has around 4.5 million subscribers, would consider acquiring larger rivals including Kabel Deutschland and Kabel BW.
