La Sexta still in merger talks

The CEO of La Sexta, Jose Miguel Contreras, has revealed that the Spanish broadcaster is still in negotiations over a possible merger with rival broadcasters, according to local reports.

Contreras’s comments go against those of La Sexta’s owner Mediapro, and Prisa, owner of TV channel Cuatro and TV operator Sogecable, who said in August that they had terminated merger talks as no agreement was in sight.
