French ISP Free has launched a 1Gbps internet service for Freebox Révolution subscribers. Free is offering 1Gbps downstream and 200Mbps upstream for subscribers with its advanced multimedia gateway and set-top box. The increase in speed will be delivered automatically to all Freebox Révolution fibre-to-the-home customers at no extra charge.
