Most significant industry development  Android becoming more widespread. The next move will be into the set-top box, creating a merger between set-top and mobile.

Goals for next year The push to move from broadcast to interactive in all digital TV platforms, deployed in a cost-effective way.

Industry challenges and opportunities Saying ‘goodbye’ to the midleware and CAS bundle and ‘hello’ to the HTML plus DRM shopping list. The need to provide to the operators the ability for customers to submit their own customised apps without certification stamp constrains.
