Albis Technologies is set to showcase a range of its SceneGate-branded HD IPTV set-top boxes (STBs) at ANGA COM.
The three key products Albis will demo are its SceneGate Micro, SceneGate Micro II and SceneGate 9000 set-tops, which are all designed to support a variety of traditional and value added services – like IPTV, broadcast television, VOD as well as OTT, interactive content and media sharing.
The SceneGate Micro is designed to be a low-cost, entry-level HD STB. Albis will demo this with Beenius’ Beesmart middleware application, which offers service providers the flexibility to deliver IPTV and OTT services.
The STB features a flexible SDK that supports open APIs for integration with native- or browser-based middleware clients and applications, while accessories like wireless dongles, keyboards, and storage devices can also be connected to the STB to improve the user experience.
The Micro II is a compact HD IPTV STB that is designed to deliver linear TV, VOD, OTT, and PVR services. New improvements to the platform include more memory, processing power, and a dedicated graphics GPU designed to support feature-rich applications.
Meanwhile, the SceneGate 9000 offers what Albis says is “the richest feature set.” The high definition DVB/ IPTV STB supports on-demand, linear TV, and OTT services and includes integrated SD memory, SD support, and an HDD slots, meaning service providers can add advanced IPTV services like time-shifted TV and local PVR.
Albis said it will also demo the SceneGate 9000 acting as a central living room device and the SceneGate Micro II as a wirelessly connected second room device to show off in-home media sharing.
Albis Technologies will exhibit at ANGA COM on stand 10.1/R29.
