TivùSat adds La7d to line-up

Italian free-to-view satellite platform TivùSat has added Cairo Communication-owned channel La7d to its programming line-up. The channel, aimed at a younger female audience, airs a mix of programming including Grey’s Anatomy and Wife Swap. Turin-based Cairo Communication’s general news and entertainment channel La7 is already available on TivùSat.

TivùSat adds Cartoonito

Italian free-to-view satellite platform TivùSat has added Turner Broadcasting’s Cartoonito to its programming line-up. The addition of the channel, which is aimed at pre-school children, takes the total number of channels on the platform to 65. TivùSat is available to Italian viewers from the Eutelsat platform at 13°  East.

Rai to broadcast HD channels via TivùSat platform

TivùSat adds new users

Italian free-to-air digital satellite service TivùSat saw 55,000 new activations in July, taking the total number of active smartcards to almost 1.577 million. Take-up of the service was particularly strong in Sicily, Lombardy, Lazio and Calabria. TivùSat offers 55 digital TV and 40 radio services.

TivùSat adds new homes

Italian free-to-air satellite offering TivùSat saw 55,316 card activations in July, taking it to a total of 1,576,685 active cards at the end of that month. The service saw the biggest boost in take up in the regions of Sicily, Lombardy, Lazio and Calabria. The service currently offers 55 TV and 40 radio services.

TivùSat registers 1.5 million active smartcards

TivùSat, the Italian free-to-air digital satellite service, has passed the 1.5 million customer mark. The operator said there are now more than 1.5 million active TivùSat smartcards.
