Nordic telco TeliaSonera ended March with 1.22 million TV subscribers, up from 994,000 a year earlier. Telia’s largest market, Sweden, was home to 530,000 TV subs, up from 473,000. TeliaSonera International Carrier to deliver NHL for Viasat

TeliaSonera International Carrier is to deliver NHL ice-hockey games to Viasat Broadcasting in Stockholm under a five-year deal. TeliaSonera will deliver 35 match feeds to Viasat. The company chose Snell to supply of its Alchemist frame rate convertors for fast motion HD sport broadcasts. Encompass Digital Media was chosen to provide the US contribution feeds.
