Telekom Austria increases IPTV base

Telekom Austria ended September with 213,000 IPTV subscribers. The telco increased its A1 TV subscriber base by 14.6% year-on-year. It said ARPU for its A1 fixed line business increased by 1.3% to €32.2 at the end of September.

TA nears 200,000 TV subs

Telekom Austria ended 2011 with 198,000 TV customers. The telco said the customer base of its A1TV service increased by 31.2% year-on-year. Fixed line service revenues declined by 3.6% to €226.8 million as a higher number of broadband and A1TV subscribers could only partly compensate for the loss of fixed voice minutes.

Telekom Austria sees strong IPTV growth

Telekom Austria had 186,000 A1TV customers in Austria at the end of September, up 39% year-on-year. Fixed broadband lines numbered 1.247 million, up 11.4%. Telekom Austria posted revenues of €1.111 billion for the quarter, down 6.2%. Net income was €128 million, up 32.5%.

One in 10 Austrians now owns a tablet device, with 44.2% using the devices to consume video, according to a survey by A1 Telekom Austria.
