Spacecom’s Amos-5 goes live tomorrow

Israel-based satellite operator Spacecom has announced that its latest satellite, Amos-5, will begin commercial operation tomorrow. Located at 17° East, the satellite has pan-African C-band and Ku-band capacity. Separately, Spacecom has joined the Space Data Association, the organisation created by commercial satellite operators to improve the safety and efficiency of space operations.

Amos-5 makes successful launch

Spacecom, operator of the Amos satellite fleet, has announced the successful launch of its Amos-5 satellite from Baikonur, Kazakhstan. Amos-5 launched aboard a Proton Breeze-M launcher yesterday at 11:17 GMT to its 17° East orbital position.
