New movie channels for MTIS

Belarusian pay TV operator MTIS has added movie channels Kinolyuks and KinoSoyuz to its digital programming line-up. The Minsk-based cable operator launhed the two channels today. Kinolyuks offers a range of popular movies across all genres, while KinoSoyuz offers a selection of classic movies made by the studios of the former USSR.

MTIS adds new channels

Belarusian service provider MTIS has added a raft of new channels to its line-up. The cable operator has added pets-focused channel Domashniye Zhivotnyye, CTC-owned Peretz I, Zee Russia, showbusiness and culture channel Park Razvlecheniy, Viasat Broadcasting’s TV1000 Comedy and science channel Nauka to its line-up.

Belarus adjusts to changes on foreign channel licensing rules

MTIS adds Viasat Sport

Belarusian service provider MTIS has dropped the CHL (Continental Hockey League) channel, replacing it with Viasat Sport. Viasat Sport offers live coverage of the Stanley Cup sailing event along with football, baseball, cycling and various martial arts.

Russia’s MTIS launches documentary channel

Russian service provider MTIS has launched a new documentary channel. The Minsk 24 Doc channel will air award-winning documentaries covering, politics, the economy, the arts, sociology and ecology. The operator described the channel as being for “smart people with a wide scope of interests”.
