Baltcom swaps ProPoker for Weapons

Latvian cable operator Baltcom has added Russian-language channel Oruzhie (Weapons) to its channel line-up. The channel, which is devoted to all kinds of weaponry, replaces gambling channel ProPoker, which has ceased broadcasting via satellite. The channel is available on Baltcom’s basic tier.

Modern Times Group acquires Latvia’s LNT

Lattelecom builds out fibre in Alūksnē

Latvian telco and IPTV provider Lattelecom has built out a fibre network in the town of Alūksnē in the north-eastern part of the country. The network currently connects 337 apartments in Alūksnē, but this number will grow to 1,623 apartments in 34 blocks in October, delivering speeds of up to 500Mbps to residents.
