Five joins Canvas

UK broadcaster Five has joined Project Canvas, the joint venture service aiming to bring internet video services to TV screens. Five, owned by German group RTL, joins the BBC, ITV and telco BT on the project, which is still awaiting approval from the BBC Trust. 

Zon Multimédia arrests pay-TV decline

Portuguese pay-TV provider Zon Multimédia managed to slow down the decline in its pay-TV subscriber base in the second quarter.
