THE JUNE ISSUE OF DIGITAL TV EUROPE

Be seen in this issue and benefit from prominent exposure at ANGA COM – with distribution at the entrance of both exhibition halls, in the conference area, and exclusive distribution at the entrance gates.
Features will include:

Cable technology – Update on cable operators’ technology priorities and focus as they make key choices to future-proof their networks and address competition from fibre players. We will look at cable operators’ roadmaps as they migrate to CCAP and DOCSIS 3.1, upgrade their networks to 1.2GHz and above and look forwards to bandwidth-expanding distributed architectures based on Remote PHY or Remote MACPHY, and implementations of Full Duplex and Extended Spectrum DOCSIS, virtual segmentation and other advanced techniques.

Android TV – The Android TV Operator Tier platform has gained huge traction among service providers over the past year. As streaming services have gained in popularity at the expense of traditional pay TV and, operators have become more focused on marketing multi-play services while providing access to OTT offerings to their customers. This article will look at how well the platform matches the strategies of service providers and assess the advantages and disadvantages from the operator’s perspective.

Smart home services – This article will update on the role of service providers – and of the TV – in tapping the smart home as a way to upsell their subscribers and assess the state of competition between cable and telecom providers on one hand, and big tech companies and electronics retailers on the other, that hope to capture a slice of the market.
