KDG adds MTV channel

German cable operator Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has added music channel MTV Brand New to its platform. MTV Brand New is a pure music channel, broadcasting the latest mainstream and niche music videos. It launched in Germany in February on Deutsche Telekom’s T-Entertain IPTV platform. The channel is available in KDG’s Premium Extra package.

Multimedia Polska adds Orange Sport

Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has added Orange Sport to its channel line-up. Orange Sport will be available as part of Multimedia Polska’s basic digital package. The channel offers coverage of sports ranging from football from the French, Portuguese and Scottish leagues and Euro 2012 qualifiers, German handball, Swedish Speedway and Polish table tennis.

Beeline passes IPTV milestone

Russian IPTV service Beeline TV, the brand name of VimpelCom, has passed the milestone of half a million subscribers. Beeline TV was launched in Moscow in 2009 and is now present in 34 cities across Russia, providing linear TV, video-on-demand and other interactive services.

Vodafone expands HD line-up

Vodafone is adding three new HD channels to its German IPTV platform. From December 1, the operator will include Sixx HD, TELE 5 HD and N24 HD in its line-up. The addition of the channels will take the total number of HD channels on the platform to 18.
