BT Sport to make UEFA finals free-to-view

BT Sport Champions League

BT Sport, the joint venture between BT and Warner Bros. Discovery, is to make this year’s UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League finals available to everyone in the UK to watch for free whether on TV, online or on mobile.

In addition to its coverage on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, BT Sport is making all three European finals available for free on its website , on the BT Sport YouTube channel and via the BT Sport App for small and large-screen devices, including PlayStation, Xbox, Samsung smart TVs, Apple TV, Android TV and Amazon Fire.

The finals will also be available for anyone to watch on Virgin Media TiVo, TV360 and Stream platforms on channel 532.

The 2023 UEFA Europa League final featuring Sevilla v Roma will begin from 19:15 on May 31 on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate, live from the Puskás Aréna in Budapest.

BT Sport’s live coverage of West Ham’s UEFA Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina will be live from the Fortuna Arena in Prague from 18:30 on June 7 on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate.

On June 9, BT Sport will make the 2023 UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter free from 18:00 on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate.

BT Sport’s live coverage of the UEFA Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter on June 10, from the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, will be available free to view from 18:00 on BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate.

From July 18, TNT Sports be the new name for BT Sport.

Earlier this month, BT reported a loss for the year to March from the now deconsolidated BT of £121 million as the outfit struggled with downward pressure on subscriptions from the UK’s cost of living crisis and the impact on European football of the Qatar World Cup.

The underperformance was driven both by the cost-of-living pressures affecting the sports subscription market in the UK and the impact of a prolonged winter break in European club football from the World Cup.
