Corus networks chief Daniel Eves steps down, replaced by Jennifer Abrams

Leading Canadia media company Corus Entertainment has announced that Daniel Eves, SVP, networks will step down on December 15, 2022 with Jennifer Abrams named as successor. Over his two-decade career, Eves has been a key architect of Corus’ streaming strategy as well as its strong presence in both specialty television and conventional television. He helped launch Corus’ streaming service STACKTV and forged content partnerships with studio suppliers to support it.

“There are few executives who have programmed as many different networks as Daniel,” said Troy Reeb, Corus EVP broadcast networks.  “His career at Corus has seen increased audiences across many of our channels.”

Abrams will take over as SVP, programming and multi-platform effective January 1, 2023 with Eves continuing in a consulting capacity until spring 2023. In her new role, Abrams oversee programming & content windowing strategies across the company’s 33 specialty networks, Global and the Global TV App, STACKTV, Teletoon+, and the Corus-operated channels on the soon to launch Pluto TV in Canada.
