NFL moves to TV4 Media in Sweden and Finland

The NFL has a new broadcast partner in Sweden and Finland.

The league has agreed a new three-year broadcast partnership with Telia’s TV4 Media in the two countries.

Starting from 2025/26, TV4 will broadcast around 130 games per season on  pay TV channels C More and Sportkanalen with select games broadcast on FTA channel TV12. The playoffs and Super Bowl will be aired across all three channels, with C More set to provide NFL RedZone coverage.

Johan Cederqvist, head of channels and rights at C More, said: “We are sharpening the supply even further. Interest in the NFL has grown steadily in the Nordics and is a very strong television experience for all those interested in sports. The NFL is a giant in American television and it shows in the production.”

Laura Louisy, the NFL’s director of international business development and media, said: “The NFL is proud to have agreed on an agreement with C More, which means that both current and new fans in Sweden will be able to follow all the best from the NFL, throughout the season.

“NFL interest in Sweden is growing rapidly and the partnership with C More, which includes free-to-air TV broadcasts on TV12 every week during the regular season and also the Super Bowl on TV12, means that the biggest NFL games are available to a wider audience in Sweden than ever before.”

The rights had been held by Viaplay for the past five seasons in Sweden and Finland, with the broadcaster also recently losing its NFL rights in Denmark to TV2.
