DAZN and beIN secure EFL rights

Sports streamer DAZN has confirmed an extended rights deal with the English Football League (EFL) across its markets in Europe.

The two-year deal agreed via Pitch International will see DAZN continue to exclusively broadcast the Championship, League One, League Two and Carabao Cup in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), and Spain. DAZN will also carry the competitions in Canada and Japan, and in Italy where five Carabao Cup fixtures will be shared with other networks.

Further afield, Pitch International has agreed a two-year deal for the EFL with beIN Sports across its global network which operates in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Turkey, France and Asia-Pacific.

Both sets of deals give their respective broadcasters the rights to show 180 games per season.
