Pluto TV reorganises channel categories

Paramount-owned FAST service Pluto TV has announced a reorganisation of its channel lineup in the US, adding new categories and channels.

The company said that the new lineup will provide users with greater ease of navigation and more fan-favourite programming.

Pluto offers over 43,000 titles, with this latest update bringing three additional categories for a total of 18 to choose from. These include: Movies, Entertainment, News + Opinion, Crime, Reality, Game Shows, Daytime TV, Comedy, Classic TV, Home, Food, Lifestyle + Culture, Sports, Gaming + Anime, Music, En Español, Kids, and Local.

The reorganisation will see select channels’ content relocated to new categories that are better suited to their genres.

To coincide with this reorganisation, Pluto TV is launching a pair of show-specific channels. The first is dedicated to the game show Let’s Make a Deal, while the second is The Judge Judy Channel.

Scott Reich, SVP of Programming at Pluto TV, said: “We are always looking for ways to improve our programming offering and make it easier for the audience to find what they are looking for. Not only is this expansion driven by viewing habits we can see, we spoke directly to our audience to gain feedback on suggested changes before they were made. Everything we do puts the audience first and this optimisation is the latest step to maintain our market leadership in partnership with our audience.”
