Ziggo Sport secures LaLiga through to 2029

Spain’s LaLiga has announced a seven-year broadcast deal with Ziggo Sport in the Netherlands. 

The rights were already held by Ziggo until 2024, but the broadcaster has agreed an extension through to 2029.

LaLiga coverage will continue to be shown for on Ziggo Sport – available for free for all digital Ziggo subscribers – and via the Ziggo Sport Totaal pay TV package, which is available from all distributors in the Netherlands.

Along with LaLiga, Ziggo’s sports portfolio includes the Italian Serie A, the French Ligue 1, the German DFB-Poka,  The UEFA Champions League, UEFA Nations League, the English FA Cup, Ajax friendly matches, Italian Coppa Italia, the national competitions of Belgium, Portugal and Scotland and the qualifications for World Cups and European Championships.

LaLiga’s audiovisual director Melcior Soler, said: “Dutch football fans love to watch LaLiga. We have been working together with Ziggo Sport in the Netherlands for many years. Through the channel the whole of the Netherlands can experience the competition up close on a weekly basis. We are delighted that Ziggo Sport will remain our exclusive partner for at least another seven years.”
