Netflix to offer 50 games by the end of 2022

Netflix has unveiled a slate of games to take the service’s total offering to 50 titles by the end of the year.

Revealed as part of its Geeked Week fan event which saw reveals for eagerly awaited series such as The Sandman and season 3 of The Umbrella Academy, Netflix showcased a range of games which will arrive on the platform in the coming months. 

The highest profile amongst these are tie-ins to popular Netflix shows such as an action-adventure game based on La Casa De Papel, The Queen’s Gambit Chess and dating simulator Too Hot To Handle.

While these IP adaptations will be the most instantly recognisable to Netflix users, there are a range of additional titles coming to Netflix’s gaming offering, ranging from previously released and acclaimed titles such as the “cozy management game about dying” Spiritfarer to the magical realist epic Kentucky Route Zero.

In addition, a number of new titles will come to Netflix from developers known for producing high quality mobile titles like Alto’s Adventure and Monument Valley

During the multi-day event, Netflix also revealed that it has officially greenlit a second season of Squid Game, the South Korean series that took the world by storm and became the streamer’s most-watched show ever.
